‘Wow Vision Therapy Changed My Life!’

A concussion can have some serious negative affects on vision. Check out Mitchell’s story and how the team in Grand Rapids, MI changed his life.

My journey with vision therapy started about 5 years ago when I pretty significantly hit my head. Shortly after that, I began to notice some negative changes in my vision. My eyes would become fatigued after the simplest of visual tasks. They felt like they were being pulled apart when reading anything up close, I had blurry vision, double vision, light sensitivity, and headaches. It got to the point where I would completely avoid using a computer, TV, etc. Even driving made my eyes symptomatic. It was a tough time for me to say the least.

Eventually, I sought help, first with my general practitioner and later, an ophthalmologist. I spent several years from that point on avoiding my symptoms and trying to find an answer. It wasn’t until about 4.5 years after I first started noticing symptoms that I saw a video about Wow Vision Therapy. I thought, “Well I’ve tried everything else, maybe this place can help me!” So I gave them a call, and I am so glad that I did!

Within a week of that call I was in the office receiving an exam, and finally, I had a diagnosis: convergence insufficiency, accommodative dysfunction, and astigmatism. All of this had been wrong with my vision this whole time, and nobody had been able to diagnose it until now.

I couldn’t believe it. It was amazing to have somebody tell me that I wasn’t crazy and there actually was something wrong with my vision! By the next week, I had met my awesome vision therapist Anna and was on my way to finally recover.

Now that I have completed vision therapy I can say that the difference in my symptoms is night and day. I no longer avoid all of the important and necessary life tasks that I was before. My discomfort and frustration are totally gone! It is truly incredible!

I can’t thank the staff at Wow Vision Therapy enough. You have all been so kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional. I’ll never forget it.

To anyone who is suffering from symptoms even remotely vision related and has been told there is nothing wrong, please get a second opinion.
