What I Enjoy Most About Working at Wow Vision Therapy

The aspect I love the most about working at Wow Vision Therapy; I know I am making a difference in peoples’ lives. At first, they may seem like small changes, but our patients leave our care with confidence knowing that they can dream bigger with their personal goals and succeed at them if they are willing to put the time and effort into it.

A Little More About Me

While working here at Wow Vision Therapy, I have found passion in reaching out to the kids who do not yet have the confidence they need to succeed. The kids who think that they are “dumb” or “stupid.” When kids come here for therapy to improve with vision and learning, we slowly but surely see them improving on understanding letters or numbers. This is an import task in order to form words on their own or solve math problems easier because they are able to line everything. When they start to succeed at Wow Vision Therapy, their attitude changes into, “This is a challenge, but I CAN DO IT!” Whereas before everything was a struggle and their first response was, “I can’t do that.”

My Interests Outside of Work

Outside of work, I like to bake goodies, read books, listen to music (a healthy variety!), crochet, play with my dogs, watch my niece and nephew, and take walks on the beach.

I am married with 2 adult children. When not at work I enjoy reading a good book, watching t.v. and hanging out with my family, which includes my cats. I also like playing games and and going fishing with my husband.

What I Enjoy Most About Working at Wow Vision Therapy

I love having a front row seat as I help my patients explore and discover greater and stronger vision skills while celebrating the increased confidence and freedom vision therapy brings into their daily lives.

A Little More About Me

I was a patient at Wow Vision Therapy myself several years ago. Before that, I had absolutely no idea that I had no depth perception whatsoever. I assumed that everyone experienced the world like a flat photograph. After starting therapy, I was amazed to watch the world explode into 3D for the very first time! It was simply magical! Having gone through therapy myself helps me as I try to put myself in my patients’ shoes and see the world as they see it. This helps me to discern what therapeutic activities would best help them in each of their unique situations. I feel lucky to be part of sharing the gift of a higher quality of life that we at Wow Vision Therapy provide to our patients.

My Interests Outside of Work

When I’m not at work, I enjoy creating beauty through interior design and art, long chats with friends about personal transformations, listening to my sons sing and play the saxophone, watching them play a wide variety of sports, and creating fun in people’s kitchens at my Pampered Chef parties.
