Ashleigh Yates, O.D.
RESIDENT - GRAND RAPIDS
Dr. Yates graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Chemistry Minor and a concentration in Mandarin Chinese. She continued her education at the Illinois College of Optometry where she received her Doctorate of Optometry in 2020. While attending ICO, she co-founded the Black Student Union. She was a member of the National Optometric Student Association, Gold Key International Honor Society, and College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD). She was also honored with several awards for leadership and service to the community.
Dr. Yates’ passion for developmental optometry stemmed from her own experiences with vision-related learning disorders. She is motivated and excited to help patients reach their full potential through vision therapy and rehabilitation.
Dr. Yates is from the great state of Texas. When she is not in the office, she enjoys exercising, shopping, reading, and writing fiction novels.
